WHAT IS OUR DEFENCE CAPACITY BUILDING APPROACH
Our approach to Defence Capacity Building is divided into three steps.
- 1st step is our practical action in the comprehensive integration of all defence-related knowledge into a third-party organisation, this includes:
– Deployment of Military/Police/security advisors with the tasks of selecting, training, equipping and consulting the defence/security structure of the third party;
– Integrate all the trained units/staff into a comprehensive approach to defence/security strategies both on the internal and external capacity;
– Directly mentor the trained units/staff in the strategic activities of defence/security actions.
- 2nd step is the gradual transfer of responsibilities to the third-party, this includes:
– Training of trainers;
– Development of an internal unit/department capacity to create a selection and training process.
- 3rd step is the continuous re-evaluation of the overall defence/security apparatus in coordination with the third-party leadership following a pre-established timeline.
